I had the amazing opportunity to see Panic! At The Disco
last night in Charlotte, NC. Three words: Best. Concert. Ever. I was running on
no sleep, McDonalds and I got a visit from Mother Nature and it was still the
best night of my life.
There were two bands opening for Panic, Youngblood Hawke and
Walk the Moon. Two bands I had never really heard of before last night but they
were seriously good. Both bands had amazing stage presence, played their hearts
out and they definitely caught my attention and I might already have playlists
dedicated to them on Spotify.
Then…the magic happened. Panic! At The Disco took the stage
and 13 year old me might have cried a little bit but 21 year old me kept her
cool. Okay, that’s definitely a lie, 21 year old me freaked out. It was
theatrical, with videos and amazing background visuals, each song had
spectacular lighting displays, smoke- it was everything I had hoped for.
Panic! At The Disco has been such a huge influence in my
life since I was 13. The first shirt I ever bought from Hot Topic was a P!ATD
shirt and I still rock it to this day. My life pretty much revolved around them
and let me just say, I didn’t know real love until Brendon Urie came into my
life. The first poster I bought from them came from a middle school Book Fair
and it’s still hanging on my closet door. Finally being able to see the band
that’s given me so many happy memories and perform all of my favorite songs was
such an amazing experience and one I’ll remember forever. The perfect way to
end my summer break.
If you have a chance to see The Gospel Tour, DEFINITELY go.
