Hello lovelies!
Here we are at the
end of May and I know everyone says this but, my gosh, this month has flown by.
I’m finally settled back in at home now that I’m home for the summer so now
that I have more time on my hands I’m trying to get back to regularly posting.
I've compiled a few favorites for you all so without further adieu, here are my
favorites for the month of May!
Beauty
Nars Pure Radiant
Tinted Moisturizer: I’m in love with this stuff. I’ve never been one to wear
foundation or anything because, thankfully, I have pretty nice skin. This
tinted moisturizer is just awesome. It’s creamy, it goes on smooth and just
gives the skin a nice glow which I nice this time of year. It has SPF so it
just gives me skin another layer of protection while I’m out in the sun. It’s
pretty pricey, but it was definitely worth it.
Nyx blush in “Mocha”:
This is a nice, baby pink blush that’s perfect for day to day use. Now, I don’t
really wear makeup every day but when I do this has been my go-to. It’s natural
and gives the face a little rosy tint.
Maybelline Hi-Lite in
“Nude”: I’ve mentioned this on my blog before, I just adore this highlighter. It
gives the face just a nice natural glow that looks stunning in the sunlight.
It’s a nice blend of pink and nude and it definitely has some shimmer but it’s
not chunky or noticeable, it just a nice sheen. I usually use this as a cheek
highlight and sometimes as a brow bone or inner corner highlight.
Maybelline The Rocket
Mascara: This stuff is seriously awesome, it’s worth all the hype. This mascara
doesn’t budge and I use the regular formula, not the waterproof. It stays all
day until I want to take it off. It gives my lashes volume and separates. It
makes me lashes look fabulous.
NYC City Proof lip
crayons in “South Ferry Berry” and “Fulton Street Fushia” : I’m obsessed with
lip crayons and these are really good. The color pay off is great, it gives
your lips a nice wash of color without feeling too heavy. They’re really
lightweight and pigmented. They run about $2.
Maybelline Color
Elixir in “Blush Essence”: You know the drill; these babies have been mentioned
on my blog before. They’re pigmented, moisturizing, and creamy. These are
definitely a Holy Grail product for me.
EOS Shaving Cream in
“Pomegranate Raspberry”: I usually just use my soap or conditioner to shave my
legs but now that I’ve tried this I don’t think I’ll ever go back to my old
ways. It’s moisturizing, it keeps my legs smooth for a really long time and it
smells amazing.
Beauty Essentials
“Honey Almond” body scrub: I found this little gem at Ross a while back and
it’s a really nice scrub. It’s a cheaper alternative to my normal favorite from
Tree Hut. It has a lotion-like texture with small beads to exfoliate the skin.
I put this on my legs after I shave and I also rub it on my arms. It has a
light scent. At $4 you can’t really go wrong.
Vaseline Total
Moisture Lotion: This stuff is amazing. I moisturize by body right after I get
out of the shower and it go one smooth and makes my skin feel light and
moisturized for a really long time. It has oat extract in it so it has a nice
oatmeal-like scent which I really love. It was also really affordable and this
stuff lasts you a while.
Vo5 Shampoo &
Conditioner in “Passion Fruit Smoothie”: I seriously can’t say anything but
good things about this stuff. It’s affordable, it does its job and it smells
AMAZING. My hair smelled like passion fruits for like a week and I’m obsessed.
Music
My music favorites
for the month are definitely everything I put on two playlists that I recently
created on Spotify. One is a Alt Rock workout playlist that has all of my
favorites from The Used, Blink-182, Green Day and more. Another is a Girl Power
playlist and I can’t get enough. It has everything from No Doubt, Paramore,
Madonna, Britney, Spice Girls and more.
Television &
Movies
So I’m obsessed with
Supernatural and let me just say that season finale killed me. I cried so hard
and I’m still not ever it- at all. The Vampire Diaries also just had a season
finale and that killed me as well, I was a sobbing wreck by the end. It was
rough. The new Mtv series, Faking It, is my new love. The characters are
awesome and I’m in love with Amy and Karma, they’re so cute and I seriously
recommend this show to everyone!
Movies: I finally saw
The Amazing Spider-Man 2- it was EPIC. I’m in love with Marvel movies and this
one did not disappoint. I’m excited to see how they continue the Spider-Man
series and what’s next for Peter Parker. Next on my list- X-Men: Days of Future
Past and The Fault in Our Stars…I’m not even prepared.
All of these
mentioned above will be featured in my Luvocracy collection, named “May Favorites”
