My current style spotlight is on YouTube vlogger, Andrea Russett. This girl has an amazing look that tends to change day to day but one thing that remains the same is the fact that she looks fierce af. Every time I scroll through Instagram and I catch a new post from Andrea I close my eyes and whisper “goals” to myself. Kidding…kind of- girl crushing aside, Andrea’s look is often a mix of dark and edgy, and simple and classic. Which, personally I’m a fan of because my look changes day to day depending on my mood. From her bold brows to her classic white Converse, her style is something I admire.

Her YouTube channel, GETTOxFABxFOREVER, features vlogs where she pretty much just gets to speak her mind on whatever topic interests her, challenges and collaborations with her friends and fellow YouTubers, new series that she’s involved in and anything else her heart desires. Last year, Andrea was one of the featured personalities on DigiTour. I’ve been subscribed to Andrea for almost two years now, she’s hilarious and her fun-loving personality is one of my favorite things about her. She recently hit over 2 million subscribers so congrats Andrea!

February Style Spotlight

Alison Henry

As we enter into the first week of March it’s time to reflect on who I was obsessing over during the month of February. My pick for the February Style Spotlight is Alison Henry, better known as AlisonLovesJB on YouTube. I first came across one of her makeup tutorials a few years ago and was blown away by her skills. Alison is a 21 year old, self-taught makeup artist from Atlanta. Her channel AlisonLoveJb, has tons of in depth makeup tutorials, hair tutorials, hauls and more for her viewers to enjoy. This blue-eyed beauty has some serious skills. Her Instagram account that features her makeup portfolio gives me so much life (#makeupgoals).

Her style is a mix of girly, boho-chic and edgy. Markkit, a style boutique that I’ve mentioned before where YouTube personalities and other influencers can go and create their own clothing line and collections, features a clothing and accessories line designed by Alison. There, you can find bags, long charmed necklaces, flannels and more. Everything my little heart desires, is in this collection. Definitely check it out and explore other collections as well! Alison has tutorials for tons of looks, whether you’re feeling dramatic or classic that day. I’ve followed many of her tutorials before and tried things that I ended up loving. Caitlin Bea

My pick for January is the lovely, Caitlin Bea, better known as Glamourista16. I discovered her channel through another YouTuber, Sarah Belle, when they spent the summer together in LA last year. I’ve been following her ever since! Caitlin is a beauty and lifestyle vlogger from Minnesota, she has a variety of videos from tutorials, study and organization tips, sorority recruitment tips, style videos and more. If you’re a college student, you need to start watching Caitlin now because her college help videos are amazing to get tips from on how to stay organized while managing being a college student.

Caitlin’s style is edgy yet girly, the outfits she puts together have the perfect mix of comfort and trendy. Like me, a lot of the items in her wardrobe are as dark as my soul but she has a personality like a ray of sunshine. Caitlin has her own clothing and accessories collection on Markkit, it has everything from rompers, cross-body bags, sweaters, spiked earrings and more PLUS you can use Markkit to buy the things from her collection as well as other YouTubers collections.  Aside from vlogging, she also loves art, and she’s posted a few things on her Instagram so definitely check it out.

Caitlin has become a permanent part of my day, especially since I added her on Snapchat (her name is caitbea add her- like now). Definitely check out her channel and give her some love! Tell her I sent you!

December Style Spotlight

Nicole Guerriero

November and the beginning of December were absolutely hectic. Preparing for finals, writing papers, finishing up projects all while having like five mental breakdowns a day can really wear you down. Ah, the joys of being a college student. But, now that that’s over with, let’s get to my pick for December Style Spotlight: Nicole Guerriero!

Nicole is a YouTube beauty guru with amazing style- seriously. Girl rocks a top bun like no other *insert hair flip emoji*. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate her brow game? Cause it’s strong. With her ever-changing style and electric personality, Nicole’s videos are a pleasure to watch. Her tutorials and “get ready with me’s” are fun and easy to follow which makes following along a breeze. I’ve followed a number of her tutorials- especially the hair tutorials (seriously, can I just have a fraction of your fabulous-ness?).  She explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and tells you about the products she’s using in order to give the viewer a complete inside look into what’s happening. Nicole has an intense collection of lip products, a girl after my own heart! When I’m in need of some new products for my collection, I go to Nicole, it’s like she’s my beauty bestie.

I can already tell you I plan to recreate some of her looks for the holidays. Her obsession with all things glitter comes in handy quite often but especially around this time of year when you want to glam up your look. Definitely check her out!

October Style Spotlight

Sarah Hawkinson

My pick for October is the lovely Sarah Hawkinson. Sarah is a beauty and lifestyle vlogger on YouTube. Her channel focuses on makeup, style and Sarah also features videos on psychology, which is a topic she’s enjoyed for years and what she’s currently studying at Sacramento State right now. Sarah also has a second channel called Possessed by Horror where she reviews horror movies and discusses her favorites.

Sarah’s style is one of my favorites on YouTube. It’s cool and edgy but it’s still laid back. She’s one of those people that can look effortlessly cool and I’m like “damn, can we go shopping sometime, because I want some of your awesomeness to rub off on me?” Sarah’s been a favorite of mine for a while now because she combines the two things I love most which are: fashion and horror. My life revolves around the two and having someone that shares those passions is amazing. Like, If I could spend the day with her and watch movies, shop and talk about life- I would be beyond happy.

Sarah’s a genuine person that cares about what she loves and her viewers which is a quality I love. Her videos are relatable and her personality shines through. Definitely check out both of her channels.

September Style Spotlight:

Casey Holmes

Sorry there was no August spotlight, SO much was happening in August and I got a little off track. BUT, alas, here’s my September spotlight!

My pick for September is the lovely Casey Holmes, or “It’s Blondie.” With over 688,712 subscribers, Casey is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the beauty community. This Georgia peach has had her YouTube channel since January of 2012. Her channel is filled with in-depth makeup and hair tutorials, beauty tips and hauls, and style videos. Casey’s personality shines through in everything she does. Also, she has the cutest dogs, seriously.

I’ve been subscribed to Casey’s channel for about two years now; her videos are creative and very easy to follow if you want to recreate her looks. I love watching her videos and hearing her southern accent slip through because as a girl with a thick southern accent it makes her videos that much more enjoyable. It’s like we’re besties. July Style Spotlight:

Essie Button

This month’s style spot’s name is so fitting because she’s a cute as a button (see what I did there?) Bad puns aside, Essie Button, a 23 year old UK beauty and lifestyle blogger, is definitely one to watch. Estee, the woman behind Essie Button, moved to England from Canada about four years ago with her boyfriend, Aslan and they have the cutest dog named, Reggie.  Estee started her blog essiebutton, first as a fun hobby and it soon grew into a passion. She then ventured into the beauty vlogger world and started her YouTube channel under the same name.

I first came across Estee around a year ago and her videos are some of my favorites to watch. Since she resides in the UK, you are introduced to a bunch of products and brands that aren’t here in the US so it’s interesting to see the variety of beauty and skin products and brands. Her favorite’s videos and tutorials are among some of my favorites, if Estee talks about something- I immediately think I need it. Estee recently started doing brand focus videos where she focuses on one brand and its background and her favorite products from that brand. These videos are so helpful, it’s a easy way to learn about a brand and learn more about the products.

June Style Spotlight:

Sarah Belle

Sarahbelle93x, or just Sarah Belle, is one of my favorite people. Sarah is a fashion vlogger on YouTube, I came across her videos only a couple of months ago and I’m kicking myself for not finding her sooner because y’all I’m OBSESSED! She was the perfect pick for my June spotlight seeing as June is her birthday month. Sarah Belle is a 21 year old college student with an intense love for glitz, J. Crew and monograms- so obviously I was instantly hooked. Sarah is also a member of Kappa Delta Sorority (sending some Panhel love from Phi Mu).

Her bubbly personality and the way she carries herself makes her relatable, watching her videos feels like I’m just sitting with one of my sisters talking about life and what we’re currently obsessed with. Sarah’s been vlogging since about her junior year of high school and a few years down the link and over 290,000 subscribers later here we are. Her beauty videos are easy to follow and watching her vlogs are such a treat and leaves me thinking “seriously, why are we not best friends?”

This little southern belle loves shopping, statement jewelry, monograms and her sorority so I definitely related to her. I hit the subscribe button so hard after watching her first video I almost broke a nail.

Jaclyn Hill

So sorry I've been absent. The last two months have been so hectic with cheer competitions and finals but I’m finally back and I couldn't be happier! Now- onto my pick for my May Style Spotlight!

Jaclyn Hill has been one of my favorite beauty gurus for a long time now. Whenever people ask me how to blend their eye makeup correctly I always direct them to Jaclyn who is the queen of blending! Her tutorials are always easy to follow and she creates looks that are perfect for all skin tones and that’s something that a lot of people look for when finding makeup tutorials. The looks she creates are all wearable and achievable and of course, in the words of Jaclyn you have to “blend, blend, and BLEND!” Also, you know you’re a fan of Jaclyn when you describe your shadows as “buttery.”

Jaclyn has partnered with Sigma Beauty and created her own kit of her Holy Grail brushes that she considers to be her beauty essentials to help you achieve a flawless look. Jaclyn’s kit is always sold out but she keeps her subscribers updated whenever they restock it. You can find her bundle here. Viewers of Jaclyn’s YouTube channel all know she’s a big fan of the Whitening Lighting lip glosses, and she recently partnered with them to create her very own gloss called “Rose Hill.” It’s a gorgeous rosy pink and I’ll be putting in my order soon enough. March Style Spotlight:

MissGlamorazzi

Ingrid Nilsen, also known as MissGlamorazzi this month’s Style Spotlight. Ingrid is a beauty guru is the human personification of a ray of sunshine. Ingrid focuses on beauty, skincare, fashion and even food. She started her YouTube channel back in November of ’09. Some of videos include monthly favorites, hauls, and a DIY segment called GIY: Glam-it-yourself and my favorite- get ready with me’s! She has a second channel called “The Grid Monster” where she does her personal vlogs.

I seriously love this girl. Her videos are so hilarious and upbeat, they make me so happy. I go through like Missglamorazzi withdrawals whenever I’m waiting for a new video so I go back and go on a watching spree of her old videos- its bad. Get ready with me’s are my favorite type of video so I re-watch hers all the time. Ingrid’s personality is so infectious. Her excitement about pandas and donuts is so precious. I’m also kind of in love with her cat Nugget- literally the most precious thing ever. Ingrid’s style is so adorable and it’s similar to some of the things I love to wear so whenever she has something new I’m like “I need this in my life.” The excitement I get when I see there’s a new upload from MissGlamorazzi is so real.

What are some of your spring favorites?

Carli Bybel

Carli Bybel is a makeup artist that hails from New Jersey. I came across Carli’s YouTube account in early 2013 and was hooked. Aside from makeup and beauty, Carli also runs a fashion blog called TheFashionBybel and let me just tell you how I desperately need to go shopping with this girl. Carli was recently featured on an episode of Project Runway where she got the opportunity to model a custom outfit and help with the inspiration (Spoiler Alert: the outfit she modeled won!)

Carli quickly became one of my most watched beauty gurus on YouTube in a short amount of time. I check her channel all the time for new hauls, monthly favorites and of course the tutorials. She starts her videos with an inspirational quote and that’s something that I really love, it’s just a little something extra that personalizes her videos. Carli also has a second channel called The Inner Beauty Bybel, which features vlogs, personal videos and motivational videos. I love her get ready with me’s because I love to see her outfits and how she styles them. This girl has some serious style and her closet is insane. I also have some serious hair envy because Carli’s hair is insanely beautiful. Whenever I can get my hair to somewhat resemble hers I know it’s going to be a good day. You definitely need to check out her channels- you’ll be glad you did.
