I’m a fan of online shopping. I can sit in the comfort of my house, wearing

earthy blend of aged oak and warm vanilla burbon.” Gunpowder is my personal
fave! They’re perfect to create that warm homey vibe this season.

As you well know,
fall is my favorite time of the year. One of things I love most about fall is
the dark lipstick trend. I wear dark lipstick pretty much any time of the year,
but nothing completes a fall look better than a vampy lip color.
I did a post on fall lipstick faves last year, so definitely check that out for additional lip
options.
These lip options
range from rose toned nudes, purples, reds, and deep vampy burgundy colors.
These options are all matte, drugstore options. Matte lipsticks are my favorite
because they transfer less and last longer. If you want more glossy or satin
finishes I’d be happy to do a part two!
Now let’s get
started.
Milani Matte
Lipstick- Matte Glam. These Milani matte lipsticks are fantastic. Even though
they’re matte, they honestly have more of a satin finish. It goes on smooth and
doesn’t tug on your lips. This is a gorgeous vibrant purple color, similar to
Heroine from Mac.
Nyx Matte Lip Cream-
San Paulo. I’m a huge fan of these matte lip creams. They last forever and the
pigmentation is amazing. They also have a faint vanilla scent. This color is a
rose toned nude, perfect for everyday wear. It’s very flattering on all
skin-tones.
Nyx Matte Lip Cream-Copenhagen.
This is probably one of my favorites in the entire matte lip cream collection.
It’s the perfect vampy burgundy color, its redder than the other burgundy on
this list. If you’re a fan of darker reds, this is the one for you.
Maybelline Color
Sensational Matte Lipstick- Touch of Spice. Similar to the Milani formula, this
is a creamy matte lipstick. It goes on smooth and doesn’t settle in the fine
lines of your lips. It’s a darker rose nude, with more brown tones than San
Paulo. It’s very similar to Velvet Teddy from Mac.
Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipstick-Cherry
Bomb. These Mega Last lipsticks are absolutely amazing and ridiculously
affordable. The formula is great, it doesn’t tug on your lips and it really
does last forever. This dark red is perfect for the fall.
Wet n Wild Mega Last-
Nightcap. This is one is part of their newest fall collection. It’s a gorgeous
dark coffee brown color; it’s unlike anything else I have in my collection.
Wet n Wild Mega
Last-Vintage Vibe. This is also one of their newest lipsticks. It’s a gorgeous burgundy
shade, with a purple undertone- a bit lighter than Cherry Bomb. Perfect for
anyone wanting to try darker shades but they want to ease into it.
Alright, those are a
few of my favorite fall lipsticks. Let me know what some of your fall faves
are!
Since a young age, music has been one of my
biggest motivators as well as my own personal version of therapy. I’ve dealt
with depression and anxiety all of my life and music is one of my main methods of
coping. I have a special playlist on my phone that I go to whenever I need help
getting through hard times or when I feel anxious.
Music can have a huge
impact on someone’s life, and for some it’s the only thing they can turn to. At
a very young age I had to deal with issues with my mental health as
well as events in my personal life that led to my depression worsening and I
began to turn to self harm. Music was the main thing that helped me deal with
my issues and begin my road to recovery. Thanks to the musical influences I had
in my life, I’m now five years clean from self harm.
Everyone needs an
outlet that helps inspire them and motivates them to keep going. The songs in
this list are my personal favorites that are near and dear to my heart.
Let’s get started.
Headfirst For Halos-
My Chemical Romance. This song is one of the most important songs in my life.
It immediately lifts my spirits and brings a smile to my face. The lyric “think
happy thoughts” is now inked on my left wrist as a reminder that when things
get rough, to think of happier times. My left wrist used to be filled with self
harm scars, now it’s a reminder that I’m stronger than my addiction.
Famous Last Words- My
Chemical Romance. My Chemical Romance is one of the biggest musical influences
in my life so of course they’re going to be mentioned more than once. These
guys have helped me get through the hardest times in my life. This song in
particular is one of my go-to songs. Favorite lyric: “I am
not afraid to keep on living, I am not afraid to walk this world alone” means
so much to me.
I’m Not Okay (I
Promise)- My Chemical Romance. I’m not even going to apologize for adding
another MCR song. This song is so influential and it’s perfect for when you
need a reminder that it’s okay to admit that things aren’t alright. For so long
I would just keep things bottled up and not talk about what I was dealing with
and that’s one of the worst things you can do. This song inspired me to finally
start speaking out about my issues and realizing that I wasn’t alone in my
struggles. Favorite lyric: "You said you'd read me like a book but the pages are all torn and frayed now."
Sophomore Slump or
Comeback of the Year- Fall Out Boy. Fall Out Boy is another band that I hold
close to my heart. This is one of my favorite songs from their album From Under
The Cork Tree. It’s almost impossible to be unhappy and listen to this song.
Favorite lyric “We’re the therapists pumping through your speaker, delivering just
what you need."
Blue and Yellow- The
Used. Next to MCR, The Used is another band that has heavily influenced my life.
This song in particular stuck with me so much that it inspired my first tattoo.
The lyric, “and you never would have thought in the end, how amazing it feels
just to live again” really resonated with me because before I was finally able
to overcome my issues with self harm I wasn’t really living- I was only
existing. I didn’t really start living my life until I overcome that part of my
life and I feel stronger because of it and for that, I thank them.
The Taste of Ink- The
Used. Yep, here’s another one from The Used. This song makes me want to sing,
dance, and be happy. It’s one of those songs that you can feel in the pit of
your stomach and it makes you feel alive. Favorite lyric: “So here I am, alive
at last. And I’ll savor every moment of this.”
Therapy- All Time
Low. This song in particular, is perfect for when you need inspiration. The
title is incredibly fitting because it’s honestly therapeutic to listen to.
This song offers hope and understanding for those listening and it’s a pretty
emotional song. It’s for those that need a push to help them carry on. Favorite
lyric: “Give me therapy, I’m a walking travesty. But I’m smiling at everything.”
Hold On Till May-
Pierce The Veil. Pierce The Veil have so many incredible songs but this one is
probably my favorite. It’s so raw and it hits home on so many feelings. Those
sinking feelings that you have when you think there’s no way out, this song is
a wonderful reminder that it’s temporary and you can make it through this.
Favorite lyric: “If I were you I’d put that away. See you’re just wasted and
thinking about the past again. Darling you’ll be okay.”
She’s the Prettiest
Girl at the Party and She Can Prove it With a Solid Right Hook- FrnkIero and
the Cellabration. This song makes me incredibly happy. This song is my go-to for
pretty much everything. No matter how I’m feeling I know that when I listen to
this, nothing else matters. I’m in bliss for the next few minutes. I recently
saw this song performed live and cried throughout the entire thing. No shame.
Favorite lyric: “I’ve spent my life getting in my own way. So I could use
something good, I really need this to work out. Of course the way things are
going it might be smarter to just cash out.”
This is Gospel-Panic!
At The Disco. Another mood booster. I’m a huge fan of songs that make me want
to shout the lyrics and this song is no exception. As the song builds and the
chorus kicks in, so does that feeling in my chest. That feeling of happiness
and that everything is okay. Favorite lyric: “The gnashing teeth and criminal
tongues conspire against the odds. But they haven’t seen the best of us yet.”
Okay guys, those are
my top ten songs to listen to when I’m down. Music can be life changing, never
underestimate the impact that a band or a song can have on someone’s life.
Without some of these bands, I have no idea where I’d be right now. Everyone
deserves something that makes them feel alive. Find that thing that inspires
you and keep the faith.
Fall is by far my
favorite season. The leaves have changed colors, the air is crisp and cool, and
I can finally break out my fall clothes. Not to mention all of the delicious
fall drinks and Starbucks *hands up emoji*.
Maroon is one of my
favorite colors to rock in the fall. Whether it’s on my nails, my shirt, it
doesn’t matter. It’s the perfect staple color for your fall wardrobe.

Hello boils and ghouls!
Here's the last of the Halloween posts and the final Halloween makeup look!
In this look we're casually going to safety pin our mouth together. I got the inspiration from a tutorial that was sent to me to try out! You can watch it here.
Things You'll Need:
Liquid Latex
Tissue Paper
Cream Makeup
Foundation that matches your skin tone
Brushes
Makeup Sponges
Blood
and of course...Safety Pins
How to Create the Look:
1. Apply a layer of liquid latex with a sponge on the mouth and cheek area. As if you are extending your smile.
2. Apply the tissue paper on top of the latex and then apply another layer of latex over the paper. Keep repeating these steps until it's the desired thickness and shape. Apply a powder on top to set.
It should look something like this:
3. Apply the foundation on top of the paper so it matches your skin. If it's still a bit discolored, don't worry, you can fix it when we get to the face painting.
4. Take pair of tweezers or a toothpick and begin opening up the paper to create the wound. As if your mouth has been split open (think Joker from Batman).
5. Begin painting around the wounds. Use a combination of red, purple and brown to create a bruising effect. You want it took like like the skin has been irritated and has begun bruising.
6. Using a thin brush and black cream makeup, apply it directly into the part that you carved out and right between the lips. This creates more depth and it creates the illusion that the mouth has nothing on top of it so it's more realistic.
7. Start applying the safety pins. This is the tricky part- PLEASE BE CAREFUL. Open the pin and stick it through the bottom layer of latex and the carefully pull it through and stick it in the top layer. Carefully close the pin. Do the same with a few more pins. It might take a few tries to close them- it's perfectly fine. It doesn't have to be perfect.
8. Apply the blood! Using the same thin brush from earlier. begin apply blood directly to the part of the pins that's on the skin. Then, begin applying blood to the "cuts" where you placed the black. Use a sponge to stipple the blood to the rest of the wounds.
9. Optional- create some bruising effects to other parts of the face.
Here's the finished product up close:
Here's a few more pictures:
There you have it! Feel free to recreate this look! It was a lot of fun and it's pretty effective.
I hope you all enjoyed this Halloween series. Hope you all have an amazing Halloween!
On October 28th
I had the amazing opportunity to see BlessTheFall on their To Those Left Behind
headlining tour.
Sweet baby Jesus, It
was amazing.
This was my first
time seeing BlessTheFall live and it was definitely a night I will remember
forever. Among the opening acts was Cane Hill, a nu metal band from New
Orleans. While they were fairly new to me, they did not disappoint in kicking
off the show. Next up were BTF label mates, Oceans Ate Alaska, hailing all the
way from the UK. They performed songs from their debut album Lost Isles, which
is available now on iTunes! If you haven’t checked these guys out, seriously
what are you even waiting for?
Oceans Ate Alaska
Next, Emarosa took
the stage. I had the chance to get up close and personal with vocalist, Bradley
Walden, when he came into the crowd during their first song. The crowd went
insane. This was something that had never happened to me at a show before so
the whole time I was like:
Lastly, Stick To Your
Guns came on right before BlessTheFall and they absolutely killed it. One thing
that stood out was the heartfelt speech about violence and believing that no
one in inherently bad, just good people and people who haven’t been given
enough chances. It was so important because I appreciate musicians that want to
deliver a positive message.
And then finally…BlessTheFall
hit the stage.
This was my first BTF
show and while I’ve been to many shows before, I’ve never been to a show that
had that much energy. The audience was insane, the amount of high energy and
dancing, and fans passionately belting out the lyrics to every song- it was a
sight to see.
They also took the
time to speak genuinely with the audience. For some of us this was our first BTF
show, and some it was their 7th time. No matter how many times any
of us had seen them perform, in that moment we were all there to support a band
that means so much to us.
After listening to their
newest album To Those Left Behind on repeat on days on end, it was amazing to
finally see some of these songs performed live. "Up in Flames" and "Walk on Water"
are even better in person. Looking up into Beau’s face and having him directly
sing these songs to you...it’s an experience that you’ll never forget.
They finally closed with “You Wear a Crown,
but You’re No King” and the place when crazy. It was the perfect end to an
amazing show. I’m still re-watching the videos I took last night. The
post-concert depression is real.
If you have a chance
to see them live on the To Those Left Behind Tour definitely get tickets. You won’t be
disappointed. Get tickets here.
Make sure you also
get To Those Left Behind on iTunes!
Now enjoy these pictures from the BTF set:
Still. Fangirling.
Lock your doors, turn
out all of the lights, and grab your favorite blanket, we’re watching some
short horror films.
I’m a huge fan of
short horror films. Despite being only a few minutes long they’re still
creative, fun and they still have the power to leave you spooked. Some of the films I’ve included are original pieces of work, some are based on
creepy pasta, which are internet urban legends, and some I found while browsing
Sixpenceee one night. I’ve mentioned Sixpenceee on here before; if you’re into
all things creepy you’ll love her blog.
Alright, let get this
marathon started.
1.Lights Out
Something to watch before going to bed tonight.
2.The Smiling Man
Based off of a Let's Not Meet story by the same name. Never walk alone. Read the story here.
3.He Took Off His Skin for Me
As you can tell from the title, this is a bit...bloody. How far are you willing to go to make your loved one happy?
4.Bed Fellows
Do you know who you're sleeping next to?
5.Alexia
You should be more careful on the internet.
6.The Little Witch
Adapted from another version on Reddit. Ugh, children.
7.He Dies at the End
Well...you know what happens next.
8.There Are Monsters
Something's not right in this small town.
9.Dinner
A man and woman wake up with burlap sacks over their heads.
10.Red
Balloon
I am not about this life.
11.Blinky
This robot just wants to help...
12.Pictured
Strange photographs are always fun.

Gotta love these strange urban legends. This is a personal favorite of mine. Read the story here.
15.Mother
Died
This is a very thoughtful short film. It's not what you expect.
