Here's a couple of details on what's happening over on kissmysouthernsass.com for Cyber Monday:

Cyber Monday trumps Black Friday 100%.
Online shopping is a way of life.
Anytime I can stay at home and shop from the comfort of my room and keep my pajamas on and snack on Taco Bell at the same time, I'm all about it.

So while everyone else is renacting The Hunger Games in the middle of a shopping center trying to tackle old ladies because they grabbed that sweater you had your eye on, I'll be sitting in my room like this:

Love y'all! Happy shopping and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Hey y’all. So fall is by far my favorite season. The leaves changing, the wind gets crisper and pumpkin spice ERRYTHANG. Those of you that watch Leighann Says on YouTube have probably seen her do this and she inspired me to do the tag myself right here.
Fall Beauty Faves:
-          Face product- Nars Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. It’s pricey but it’s so nice on the skin. It gives your skin the extra moisture it needs in the colder months and provides nice coverage.
-          Cheek product- Wet N Wild Color Icon blush in Berry Shimmer. Perfect color for the holidays. It gives your cheeks a rosy flush like you’ve just come in from playing the snow, plus has a bit of shimmer so it’s like having a built in highlighter.
-          Eye product- Too Faced “Joy to the Girls” pallet. It has amazing colors, perfect for creating holiday looks (hence the name). A good mix of mattes and shimmers and the shadows are extremely pigmented.
-          Lip product- Milani Color Statement lipstick in “Black Cherry”- This lipstick is my go-to fall/winter color. It’s a deep, blackened red color, the perfect vampy color for this time of year. Goes on smooth and has a nice smell.
-          Hair product- Pantene Moisture Renew Shampoo and Conditioner. It helps keep my hair nice and moisturized so it can stand against the cold. It smells amazing and keeps my hair shiny and smooth.
-          Fragrance/candle- Perfume, I’ll have to go with Sensual Amber from Bath and Body Works. It’s warm and cozy and scents like that are my favorites year round honestly, but especially around this time of year. Candle- Literally anything from Bath and Body Works. Especially the candle Leaves- OMG.
-          Nail polish- I love deep reds and “Cherry Jubilee” from Avon is such a great pick.
Fall Fashion Faves:
-          Trendy clothing item- Oversized sweaters! It’s literally like walking around in a comfy blanket that’s acceptable to walk around in public with.
-          Comfy Clothing Item- Sweatpants and my Christmas pj pants. I live in those around this time of year.
-          Shoes- Riding boots and combat boots. I wear them with almost everything.
-          Accessory- Scarves. I have so many scarves and I’m not even ashamed.
Fun Favorites:
-          Halloween or Thanksgiving- HALLOWEEN. I am always the happiest on this day. Halloween is by far, my favorite holiday. Nothing but pumpkins, candy, horror movies and costumes- it’s everything I love!
-          Favorite festive food and/or drink- Food, definitely turkey and stuffing (yum!) and pumpkin pie. Drink, Pumpkin Spice anything and Gingerbread lattes. #noragrets
-          What’s the happiest part about fall for you- Basically just being able to bring out my favorite comfy clothes, spend time with my family and the way everything looks outside. The scenery is always so beautiful.
-          Who do you tag- All of YOU.

If you do this tag, let me know! I’d love to read your answers.

October Style Spotlight

Sarah Hawkinson

My pick for October is the lovely Sarah Hawkinson. Sarah is a beauty and lifestyle vlogger on YouTube. Her channel focuses on makeup, style and Sarah also features videos on psychology, which is a topic she’s enjoyed for years and what she’s currently studying at Sacramento State right now. Sarah also has a second channel called Possessed by Horror where she reviews horror movies and discusses her favorites.

Sarah’s style is one of my favorites on YouTube. It’s cool and edgy but it’s still laid back. She’s one of those people that can look effortlessly cool and I’m like “damn, can we go shopping sometime, because I want some of your awesomeness to rub off on me?” Sarah’s been a favorite of mine for a while now because she combines the two things I love most which are: fashion and horror. My life revolves around the two and having someone that shares those passions is amazing. Like, If I could spend the day with her and watch movies, shop and talk about life- I would be beyond happy.

Sarah’s a genuine person that cares about what she loves and her viewers which is a quality I love. Her videos are relatable and her personality shines through. Definitely check out both of her channels.

Happy Halloween, boils and ghouls!

Hope you're all having a wonderful holiday, make sure you eat lots of candy and watch a lot of scary movies. At least, that's what I'll be doing.
In honor of my favorite day of the year, I created this clown look inspired by my old pal Twisty the clown (American Horror Story fans stand up!)

This was all things I had in my collection already.
The white, black and red face paint were cream products that I bought from Party City a couple years back.

Process:
Apply a white base around the face, not going too close to the edge to create a mask-like appearance.
Build up to desired intensity and then set with a powder (baby powder works).
Use black eye shadow and using a brush (or whatever you have handy) create the shape you want around your eyes. Be creative!
Use the black cream to color the shape in and then set with the black eye shadow.
Use red to create a noes and apply to your lips to create that signature clown smile.

The wounds:
This is totally optional but if you want to create wounds along side your mouth (or anywhere else) just follow these steps:
Apply a layer of liquid latex in the area you want the wound (I found mine at Party City.)
Tear strips of tissue paper (no straight edges- the more jagged the better) and place on top of the latex. Apply another layer of latex on top of the paper.
Let it dry. Once dry set it with powder to prevent it from sticking to itself.
Use tweezers to pick open parts of the tissue to create an open wound.
Paint the inside of the tears with black and red to give the appearance of a deep wound.
Add blood and voila!

If you recreate this look send me pics! I'd love to see it.

Stay spooky,

It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween!
For those that love horror and Halloween as much as I do, October is one of the months that's the most fun for us. Scary stories, horror movies and costumes! I love creating different halloween looks and this is a zombie look I created tonight in honor of The Walking Dead coming back! It's really simple to re-create. I used a makeup kit I got from party city, liquid latex and toilet paper, don't forget the fake blood
I darkened parts of my face using reds, purple and brown. Once I got the desired look, I applied a layer of liquid latex and a layer of tissue and applied latex over that. Repeat until desired thickness. I applied the same dark colors around the wounds, opening parts of the tissue to create deeper wounds with a pair of tweezers to create depth. Then- add blood! Something really quick and easy for a last-minute costume. If you're fans of The Walking Dead definitely let me know- let's be best friends!
Stay spooky.

September Style Spotlight:

Casey Holmes

Sorry there was no August spotlight, SO much was happening in August and I got a little off track. BUT, alas, here’s my September spotlight!

My pick for September is the lovely Casey Holmes, or “It’s Blondie.” With over 688,712 subscribers, Casey is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the beauty community. This Georgia peach has had her YouTube channel since January of 2012. Her channel is filled with in-depth makeup and hair tutorials, beauty tips and hauls, and style videos. Casey’s personality shines through in everything she does. Also, she has the cutest dogs, seriously.

I’ve been subscribed to Casey’s channel for about two years now; her videos are creative and very easy to follow if you want to recreate her looks. I love watching her videos and hearing her southern accent slip through because as a girl with a thick southern accent it makes her videos that much more enjoyable. It’s like we’re besties. Check out her channel and go subscribe!
